NFL Saturday afternoon: Chiefs’ win has Alabama roots

The final weekend of NFL preseason games provides an opportunity for players seeking to survive the roster reduction from the current 90 players to the looming regular-season limit of 53 to make a positive impression just before those cut decisions come down.

In the NFL’s four afternoon preseason games on Saturday, four players with Alabama football roots who could be on the roster bubble made their cases with touchdowns.
